Lies

My head is filled with lies of others

My heart is losing its truth

I’m alone to deal being upset

Trying to differentiate what’s right and wrong

They lie to me and I’m told to drop my “act”

They keep winning and I keep losing

Being steered the wrong way

And wonder when I lose my path

Dropped into ice cold waves of deceit

Being told the world isn’t fair, stand up straight

They do me wrong

I need to let it go

They lie and I have to take it

They’re destroying my world

Not caring if I get hurt...

I need to get away from it all

To a place known by none

Just drop the ball and quit the game

They break me like a hurricane

Crack me like a piece of glass

Look at me like I don’t matter

Treat me as if I don’t deserve the truth
