Lies
We laugh and play
Like everything's okay.
But we're actually lying,
Because inside, we are dying.
Everything we once knew,
Sprouted wings and flew.
Away from what is present day,
To memories that feel like yesterday.
Hugging and laughing,
Smiling and lying;
But inside
We are dying.
