Lies

The words just slip out

before you know what you are even saying.

But by the time you realize,

it’s all too late.

Everyone hears, everyone knows.

It gets out of hand,

out of control.

you have to add more and more to your “stories”.

More and more and more

until it overwhelms you.

Your owns words are choking you from the outside in.

Its not a fantasy anymore,

You’ve created a reality out of your lies.

they have become all you are,

you aren’t you without your lies, your words, your stories.

You NEED them.

You don’t realize the hurt they cause.

To you.

To others.

TO EVERYONE.

“stretching the truth” can’t be that bad.

It’s only a “little lie”

nothing will come out of it.

That’s not true is it?

You aren’t you anymore.

You can’t be you anymore.

They have overpowered you.

YOU ARE THE LIES.
