Lies
What is so satisfying about having your worst fears confirmed?
As pure anticipatory fear floods my lungs, I beg you to say the words.
Tell me that you see what I see.
Tell me that you've read this.
Tell me that you hate this.
I beg you but lies pass between your lips and I can trust no one.
As pure, angry dread drowns my desires and aspirations,
I thank you,
I continue to write.
