Lies
The words fly out so fast
So easily
It surprises me
The beauty of a lie
So grand, so false
The delusion of a fool
Oh, such a fool
To believe
To be so naive
But I smile
I know
I’m aware
But I don’t speak
Yet the words fly out
Lie once again
How do I
Know when to stop
When to stop lying
Oh, but when will I know
When to stop this show
Show?
Show me the way out
I’m trapped
Aren’t I?
Am I mad?
Oh, the lies
Please tell me why
Why are you so beautiful
And I smile
I listen
I hear
I’m far and near
I travel with my lies
Oh, but do you believe me my good sir?
Do you believe the beauty that I tell?
My eyes twinkle
My eyes blind
They hold the truth
I try to hide
Read my lips
Dance with the devil
Something so majestic
So sinful
The truth
Hides within my eyes
Don’t look . . .
