Lies Behind your words

I was trying to be your friend
I was trying to keep my head straight
I believed you, and all your lies
I wanted everything with you
Alright
I guess you saw me as
A little girl
Vulnerable and arrogant

I should’ve seen it
I should’ve known
I should’ve step out of your flow

And now here I am drying my tears
Cause what will that do
If you weren’t even here
You lie and used me
I guess you saw me useless
I tried building a wall
From you and I
But I guess it wasn’t strong
Cause I still cried

It hurts
Like more than you can think
I trusted you and you lied to me
I wanted you
Honestly
I was willing to fight demons for thee
I guess you saw nothing in me
Saw me useless to begin

Now I see what I didn’t see
But it’s too late
Cause my hearts has gone cold
Torn apart, and I trusted you
I guess it was wrong of me
To believe in you

I should’ve know
I should’ve seen
I should’ve step out you flow

And let you be
But naw I was dumb
Stupid you may say
But I actually thought
You were the best
I even could have died
For your sorry ass

Now I’m done
No need to worry
My heart is broken
And it will fix
Give it time
I need to breathe
I’m done with you
And any other guy

Get off my life
And live your glory
I hope one day
I forget your name
But for right now
I will pretend we never met
