The Lies They Live

Who lives like this? With pain in their heart. Everyday they must live a lie, Just to keep things the same. They do not want to change, For they fear change is coming soon. They've been hurt before, Some many times before. They don't want to hurt any more, But it keeps coming back. They want their pain to come out, In anger and tears, But for some reason it won't. A tear does not escape their eyes, Like water being relesed from a gate. They ask for forgiveness, For help, For guidence. But who do they ask, For they have lost themselves, Their faith, their religion. So there is no escape, No path, no guide. So they feel they have to lie. When they're honest, There is no good. They just get hurt again. They want to be honest. They want to be free. Oh please, they want to be free. But what they can they do? Who can they ask? They can't tell or ask no one, Because they fear it will hurt them again. Their honsty hurts, And their lies cover. They cover and protect them from the truth. Since they can not tell the truth, They live a lie. And then they believe the lies. And thier lies become their reality. But that reality is not true, So some find the truth, And confront them with it. But what do they do? With their backs against the wall. They lie, and that now Becomes the truth. So, who lives like this. With pain in their hurt, With no hope, Because there is none . So they live that lie, So pain becomes their truth.
