This Life

Perfect choreography,

The stars dance together.

I wish that things could

Stay like this forever.

But our heart knows

Better as truth unfolds.

They are heartless,

Distant and cold.

A friend is a friend

To time indefinite.

But loyalties change

With each passing minute.

I wish the ground would swallow

Me whole and be my grave.

They do not care, therefore,

My life they cannot save.

Stabbing relentlessly

With the blade of a knife.

So I make my wish and blow

Out the candles of this life. N.H
