Life

Life is a road paved with broken glass Lost hopes Shattered dreams Regrets that come back to you Like a old wound, yet not fully healed Life is filled with disappointment & short comings Ever reminder of weakness People, places, things That you may never grasp Never know Never fully understand Life is like a hallucinogenic It changes you Messes with your mind Twists & turns your thoughts Effects you Making your nightmares into reality Seeming so real Life is like groping for the light switch in a room with no windows You bump & bang into desks & tables Trip & stumbled over things you can't even identity You hit the cold ground Hard Traveling on hands and knees Fearing the next fall Hands scurry across the ground in front of you Moving in a urgent state And when you finally reach the wall And flip on that light Your time is up Your time is spent And you die Life is a road paved with broken glass Sharp, piercing, cold Glass
