Life

Have you ever walked down a forest path

On a cool summer night in June

Wondering why your days have passed

And your time’s coming all too soon

That is music

And quick, before you lose it

You find a place to go

Up to the trees to the blue thick

The sky, not a friend nor foe

And that is art

A conspirator in your mind’s fragile start

Your best friend’s crying on Saturday

A red velvet cake, to just a tart tart

With love from your mother, a funny crave

This is your heart

So paint to canvas, human to heart

Feeling down is perfectly fine

Because when it comes to any art

Between happy and sad, there is no line

And this

This is life
