Life
What is life?
Is it that which whispers in our ears late at night?
Or is it that which tries to give us a fright?
The four letter word for wonder.
It reveals itself when you go under
Or just before the room goes dim
And the doctor standing over you with a tear in his eye
Whispering to the nurse, I hope he did all he wanted to do in his life.
I s it what your momma said it would be
Is it what you see on TV
High definition looks great from afar
Shining so bright like a star
No matter where you are
The closer you are the better the beat
Like the heart when your asleep
Beating ever so faintly, until the first lights gently kiss your face
And the times begin to race but slow their roll to keep a pace
To make it down the road we call LIFE.
