Life

It's the life that we choose,
The one that we live.
It's the life we hold on to,
That we pray has no end.
You pray for forgiveness,
To a being you don't know is there.
You fear the day will come,
When fear is no longer fear.
You hide in the light,
Of a world filled with shadows.
You cry in your dreams,
Hoping for someone to save you.

A new day has come,
You are free now.
But what will you do,
When you discover the day,
You thought was for you,
Was a fantasy all this time.
The one you ran off to,
The day you died.
