LIFE

All of my childhood, I was living in a fantasy

Hopes for a better destination were high as I joyfully enjoyed the frontseat of my 'fun taxi'

Life seemed incredibly amazing with hopes without fear

Had nobody and nothing to hide from since the coast was clear

So I journeyed my way out with hope, once again without fear

All positive that my long anticipated dreams were near

With steadiness I continued my journey where I felt the breeze swipe over me within a twinkle

And as the goodies bypassed me, I asked myself, "Is it that simple?"

A voice within me echoed encouragement but the breeze told me something different; I had bypassed it

Blighted plans, shaken dreams, and hope's food told me to take just a bit

Indeed life was not a fantasy as I dreamt of

Not the first ever of lies but the ever first of the painful sort

Tattererd dreams, shuddered hopes, I just couldnt take it

I longed to start the journey again

Came a long way but no sign of a checkpoint but I was confident no matter the pain

That was what kept me going, the confidence so strong enough so I wouldn't throw in the towel

So life watched tears run down my cheeks, and I hoped to one day receive a parcel

Yes a parcel of hope, joy to bring me inner satisfaction

I knew a reward was in the pipeline

Was no more shakened

Patience and perseverance were the clues

Life frowned but I replied with a massive and annoying smile

God was the architect.
