Life
Life,
By r.p. Stevens
Every breath we take ,
Is one less we have
Born one day,
Then gone in a flash.
I remember growing up,
An off the chain git..
I new it all,
You couldn't tell me shit..
From swimming pools,to little league,
To school and detention
A long line of dumb shit
I won't even mention..
From O.e. to 8 ball,
20 /20 and whiskey
Head at the condo
Butt naked and skipping.
IF I DIE TOMORROW,
AND OFF GOES MY LIGHTS
I PROMISE YOU ONE THING
I HAD A HELL OF A LIFE..
Homies and enemies,
Friends and foes..
Lines on the table,
Pine smelled smoke..
Sneaking out Late night
Fixing drinks in the bathroom
A player in my own mind..
A clown in the classroom..
From the first kiss,First dance,
and the first time I got some
I was a wild little thing
To be honest , I was so dumb..
IF I DIE TOMORROW
AND OFF GOES MY LIGHTS
I PROMISE YOU ONE THING
I HAD A HELL OF A LIFE..
getting older really sux
Need money, get a job.
U don't like the rules leave,
Clean ur room u slob.
Stay in school,
Cause later u will need it..
But growing up,
I would have never believed it..
Late night parties, with x,
And sugar cubes.
Cracker swamp driving
Digging thru cow shit for shrumes.
Grad week, October fest,
Even spring break
College dormitory,
How many shots can I take.
IF I DIE TOMORROW,
AND OFF GOES MY LIGHTS
I PROMISE YOU ONE THING
I HAD A HELL OF A LIFE.
always taken chances
Always pushed it to the limit
My mom and dad was right
I have to finally admit it.
I've hit every speed bump
And hole on this journey
U call them obstacles
But life calls them learning..
I've been on top of the world
And as low as dirt.
This roller coaster I'm on
I don't know which one's worst.
Well my life is my life
The tic tocs of the clock
It's my roller coaster
Gonna ride it till it stops
IF I DIE TOMORROW
AND OFF GOES MY LIGHTS
I WOULDN'T CHANGE NOTHING
IN MY FUCKED UP LIFE.
LOL..FELT LIKE WRITING TODAY
