Life
My dearest companion,
How do I tell thee
Of my life
Time is going too fast
Senior year will not last
Real life is just around the corner
I'm not ready
Not prepared for what it brings
I feel unsteady
Therefore I need wings
To keep me in balance
How do I tell thee
Of my life,
I don't want to move on
And yet I'm drawn
How do I tell thee
Of my journey
I don't know what lies ahead
Nor do I know what lies towards the end
My life is a thread
Now I have to fend
How do I tell thee
Of what is so precious,
I miss people that I cannot see
I miss my little birds
How do I tell thee
Of my life
How do I pour my heart out
I can say how I feel
But you can't feel the pain
I may never heal
Completely again
How do I tell thee
Of my life
