Life

LIFE

Loud is this war – knocking our my door.
Gun shots firing – women and children crying.
Armies in the city – show no compassion or pity.
Men fight and die – against a blood red sky.
Conflict and violent affray – is it judgement day ?
Family and friends, evacuated or dead now.
To our own destruction, Man must bow.
Carnage’s bitter taste, our lands laid to waste.
It is our requiem, even our final hour,
Our leaders, safe in bunkers, cower
But it wasn’t to be out last breath,
We avoided extinction, disappointed Death.
Another crisis over, no more panic or strife.
These battles we face, are just simply – LIFE!
