Life

The silence in my mind drives me insane.

My brain has made me not okay.

I am sick on the inside.

People don't seem to see

that a smile can decieve.

Happiness is the dream

that is what I want to achieve,

no more labels on who we have to be.

Believe me,

people will always judge

and hold a grudge,

because they are sick too.

Is there a cure?

Is there a way out?

The easy route will make you drought

thirsty for life

fighting your conscience.

Are you really alive?

Beware of the malicious voices

they strive for no choices

the word "life"

is just a word to them, but to you

it is all you strife.

People don't understand

why you are not okay.

They demand for the smile to be on your face.

They think a smile makes you happy,

when acceptance is all you want

but on the inside you just feel crappy - and the voices still haunt.

Asking about your existence,

and what is your purpose,

are you just matter on the surface?

My body soon feels tired,

worn out from all the fighting-the easy route is lighting.

The path that would end all of the voices,

and you would never have to worry

because you will finally be alone with no choices.

But fighting for your life gives you purpose

gives you a reason to live,

and a reason for no hearses.

Do not quit the race early,

because you had a bad start.

Finish the race gladly,

and with a beating heart!
