This life
There's not a day that goes by,
That August 12th, 2018 isn't replayed.
It doesn't feel like it has sunk in,
Like the knife in your back after being betrayed.
I could sit here and tell you lies,
I could tell you that I am okay.
I smile, I laugh, I seem happy, right?
I can sit here and tell you what you want to hear me say.
Everyone sees what they want,
They really truly don't want to see what's hidden underneath.
I feel absolutely nothing, no joy, no sorrow,
I yearn for an emotion inside to seethe.
I find my self lost within,
Starring, wondering, waiting to be awaken.
Everyone says God has a plan, put your faith
In him or be forsaken!
Everyone is such fuckin puppets,
They can't see the truth, they're blind.
They can't see behind the mirror,
Or they choose not to... because of what they'll find..
We search for answers for something beyond,
We search for answers for afterlife, heaven? Hell? waiting for time to tell.
These mother fuckers can even see it,
There's no heaven, this life on earth is the hell.
