Life

Life can be so hard sometimes Not knowing how to feel, how to react, how to be. When you look in the mirror Do you like what you see.. Not your face Not your hair But deeper.. Look harder into your soul Is it clean? Is it pure? When you see deep down to your core. Do you see things you'd rather not show Shadows of the past that make you bitter, Or did you grow and watch them leave? Embers that had once made you bleed. A soul that knows no anger, no envy, no greed. Can that really be? No matter how hard we try to grow Our minds they jump to and fro Memories of the pains of past Wishing they would leave at last. Then one day From out the blue You see life with a whole new hue. A day slightly brighter, A memory more faded. You realise all that you’ve lived that hurt so bad is gone. You learned the hurt made you who you are And cherish the one who was brave enough to break through. Life really is nothing without someone to share. Waiting for that one seems endless, But when they arrive that feeling’s oh so tremendous.
