As a kid, you went to school 

Learned as much as you could,

while trying to fit in with kids that were cool

Having fun while being in the park

flying kites in the blue sky, 

before it turned dark

Life keeps going as you are shown the way, 

time does not stop, 

so live it up day by day

You meet a lot of people on your journey, 

but watch out for those

who you so-call your homie

Stay a kid as long as you can 

When age starts moving 

Bills begin to fall in your hand

Everything is not a game

So really look at it

Or you will be looked at as a lame

Police are killing left and right

It’s our duty to fight back

because the justice system isn’t right

You’ve grown up and are now on your own

Time to step it up, 

Because your are now alone,

Parents will love you for who you are

But never stay under them, 

You’ve gone way too far

I have learned so much as I can say, 

it’s time to take the torch, 

and lead the way

Life is not easy so don’t be a fool

There’s a simple trick to it, 

Go...to....school!!
