Life

Look back at the time when you were just a child Remember the days that life was your endless joy Running until you were on your last breath Screaming without a care Your innocence was pure Your only sadness was the loss of a pet The years went on it became clear of all the things you once didn't understand You fought on through it all You were drowned with sadness That slowly consumed you Found the way to swim up Now a better swimmer You fell into darkness The dark showing your darkest fears Showing what you can never face Found the way to light up To be the brightest Now the strongest light Your broken hearted It left you cold Never to love again Your heart was black Willing to hurt anyone You found the way to heal The scars are fading You became stronger You learned to play this game of life Know this Life is not happiness or sadness not a game of luck Decide to drown or swim Conquer fear or let fear consume you Be alone or love again with a broken heart You make your heaven and hell.

Hello! My name is Maria and I'm 18 years old. I love to write poems I do it for the fun. Its easier to express myself this way, every poem I have its story behind it. I like to get advice from other poets and would love to read what other poets have written!
