Life

We start out little, ignorant, and curious. We grow, consume knowledge, and become intrigued. We have faults, make mistakes, & are always in some kind of competition with something. Life gives us opportunities to cope, understand and embrace everything that is thrown our way each day. [So with that being said] In and out, here and there Up and down, In the air With many faces to compare. Looking forward, unaware So many turns of despair Without knowing how they’ll fair. Counting blessings, everywhere Climbing mountains, falling downstairs Wondering if they are an heir. Trusting, loving, beware Feelings kept, need repair Changing the color of their hair. Disguising how they care By what they decide to wear We’ve all been there. Confrontations aren’t rare Confused by what they hear Emotions laying bare. Voice trembling, trying to hide the fear Down the road, without a veer Not looking back in the mirror. This is going to be a great Year!!
