Life

Smooth sailing like the waters run deep, she glances in the mirror to look at what she sees,

traumatized by life and the very struggle at hand, five dollars for a fix to ease that pain

Sliding down that pole was her last option, she consumed passion for dance in a man's lap

Her values sidetracked by the utmost stance for justice, a secret hidden.

She don't love anymore, the love for herself gone,

A child born that scorned the very earth, relapsed,

She broke down in pain, said this is the only way,

Body shivering, eyes locked on that white rock,

She said light, puff, and pass given that high she wanted to consume,

Love don't live here, body still tight mind in a race she got hooked to the fast life

partying non stop till her body felt numb, in a sleepless state she's become,

Her perception of life is not reality, she's in a dream in her own mind

Making love to her dreams, she fantasizes about those blue skies and sandy beach.

Cuddled up by the fireplace bodies together warm she embrace.

Snap back reality hits and you're back to where you started.
