This Life

As I lay here and think,
My life is on pause
Just Floating,
Hoping not to sink.

Waiting for the next clause,
I cannot afford college to get me through
Working three jobs with bills to pay,
I know there is a good cause.

Without it in writing,
I cannot get the proof
Sitting on a half done bachelors,
'til success I will keep fighting

To keep me at ease
Turning this dream to reality
I will need a little extra help
This scholarship, please.

My life is art and design
Holding so tightly
I cannot let go
This life
I desperately want to call mine.
