Life.

It's a rollercoaster ride.

Climb to the top,

just to fall back down.

Everyday a different part of you dies.

Inside I drown

Out my own fears

my mistakes

and it appears that's all

it takes.

to feel safe

Life is a chess game

and i'm a simple pawn

with no shame

forget the past

I advance on

with my weapons drawn

to fight

am i really going to make it through tonight?

I survive

This fight without flight

The feeling of being alive

is all i need to make it through another night.
