Life

That’s Life
Life hasn’t always been smooth sailing
Nor has everyday had a blue sky where birds fly
Days like these are dark
And are lived by the strong

There’s no sound nor touch
Isolation at its fine
And there’s nothing you can do but sit and wane
Wondering if life is worth paying for
Slowly becoming a beggar for love
And weak for sympathy
You hold onto faith but not being able to grip reality

But finally when it’s all said and done
A dim amber of light passes along
But some intuitions run through the doubts
‘What if it’s fire? Or a trick’
‘What if it’s a cliff waiting for a crying corps to topple it?’

Taking a closer look
Lo’ and Behold, the amber of hope
Also known as the glimpse of light in darkness
And the shine in the pupil of the eye
That will enable a grip
Give love to a beggar
And sympathy for the weak
And float life back to shore
