Life That Is

As I stand here, smiling at the future

My mind can't help but drag me back to the past.

A heart swollen with memories and regrets,

Knowing that things couldn't have gone any differently.

Thankful for everything that has occured,

Thoughtful as to why.

Flashback to when it was all unknown.

That day when the first album was placed into the hands.

Close your eyes.

Slide your fingers over the vision.

Slick and worth nothing, yet everything to you.

It started it all, but its not aware of its power.

Give it away.

Give it to another who needs something magical.

Let it drop from your fingers,

But never forget its importance and what it brought you.

Life that is.
