Life

A stream of consciousness

that was developed when we were young

gives us the ability

to make a connection with another-

we are a social people after all.

And it's astounding.

We breathe in, we breathe out

while looking up at the clouds and stars,

satisfied with the quiet company,

we smile at the simplicity

of taking a moment to pause and breathe

And it's awesome.

This thing, this amazing thing,

the tie that we can form with another,

is as strong as steel, and yet

is as fragile as a newborn.

And it's awe-inspiring.

Looking at the clouds and stars,

possibly even a world apart,

black, white, asian, other,

these simple views and astounding ties

bring us all together, in life.

And it's amazing.
