Life

Darkness lies across the land

refusing to let light take a stand

suddenly a soft beam of light

makes a sharp cut across the night

beam a soaring

soon becomes morning

flowers bloom across the room

filled with the fragrance of time

in one room dark and cold falls light as small as a dime

coxing a small seed to life a small bud

bends and grows to the life light it knows that to grow

the light will show it food to become.
