Life After Dad

You have cut off my oxygen,

You're restricting my life support.

The sun that once shined so bright.

Now shines dull and remains hidden

Behind clouds of tempest anger.

I reach out to grasp it,

My hands fall short,

It will never be there.

These hands are constricting,

A rope around my wrists.

I cannot get to you,

Yet I cannot live without you.

You are my whole ocean,

I am left with only salt.
