Life and Death
Life is greedy,
Grasping and green,
Life is cruelty,
Dirty and mean.
Living is hard,
Painful and sad,
Living is short,
Fast and bad.
Death is easy,
Gentle and calm,
Death is a cure,
An aloe, a balm.
Death is good,
Freeing and clear,
Death is easy,
No worry, no fear.
Humans will fight,
Every last day,
They want to live,
They want to stay.
Why do we fight,
To live in pain,
Death will find you,
It’s all in vain.
Life is a test,
We all must take,
You’d better pass,
You’re soul is at stake.
Death is the end,
Of pain, of grief,
Stealing your woes,
The gentlest thief.
Life and death,
Day and night,
An eternal dance,
An eternal fight.
