Life is Awesome

It's the little things that count, This we must not ever forget, Life has a tricky way, of giving us little gifts. When we wake up every morning at the crack of dawn, To the oh so lovely tune of a buzzing alarm, And we gaze in the mirror at drowsy baby fawn, And we gaze a little harder to find our nose pimple gone! When we finally arrive at work, and we're trying to slide in, And we make eye contact with, nagging nosy Nina Jen, As she loudly announces, "You're late" with a grin, Then boss says, "Hey, you're off today," so we walkout with a win! Though our pockets may be tighter than every nail and screw, And we just can't break that old habit of buying more shoes, With regret we pay the price, and our accounts we bruise, When suddenly the cashier says, "you get fifty percent off too!" so sooner than later, or later than soon, We have to look at life with a very optimistic view, We have got to laugh at the awesome events that take place daily, Because if we dont, well, we'd all be go completely crazy. Life has a tricky way, of giving us little gifts, This we must not ever forget, its the little things that count.
