Life Changes

I know some people see me as a successful human being,

And thank you, but I just want you all to know that I just keep believing.

My childhood was the same but also different,

I was born with Pulmonary Atresia but that does not define me.

I might have started walking late and started learning certain things late,

But that does not make me indifferent.

My parents prayed night and day while some people were saying that waiting on me was over,

But I am still living and to all of you that were talking negative you were not a part of my changeover.

My life has changed for the better because I am able to do any physical activity,

I received my full license, and I am a rising senior in high school this year.

This is when I realized I was growing up.

More examples of me realizing I was growing up are being able to take myself to my doctor and dentist appointments, having my own car, and achieving in so many great things, including being a volunteer.

This is my story. Thank you!
