Life is Chess

Life is chess, not checkers

One move ahead to most that’s fine

Think three to five steps ahead

It should be done

Anticipate the worst, that’s a checkmate, but even then

Do not dread

A new game could await; remember this

Don’t get to ahead of yourself go back,

Is it that what you choose to do?

Once it is done: it is done

It can’t be undone

But this is why you want to think ahead; if the move does not

Work out you have other options that wait

But again don’t forget life is chess,

Not checkers
