The Life of Death

She is quiet

A shy creature hidden in the waves of euphoria

Enchanting

Like a pearl shining from beneath the ocean's waves

She draws you near, the essence of her soul reaching out

She takes your hand and promises to relieve your pain

She will take you far, far away

In due time

You will forget your past

Your dreams will consist of her back

Trying desperately to catch up to her as she runs ahead

She glistens in the moonlight, hair as shining silver streams

You dream of her eyes

Eyes that you wish to see

You look at your wrist, at the scars that brought you to her

And decide one more may bring her closer

You free your soul, and finally

Finally, she is yours

She will guide you to your destination

With an expression that will haunt you

Her eyes will pour for her loss

You had gone too soon

She has taken you too early

She says goodbye to the one she loves

Once more, she has failed

But that is the life of death

She will forever be captivated the meaning of life

Without truly ever knowing it herself
