A Life Deffered

I still see your face in the water;

Slipping past my greying fingers

While I try to grasp your fleeting image.

I still hear your mother’s tears;

Silently slipping wastelessly into

Every private provided abyss.

I still recall the last time I saw you;

Infantile feet flippantly photocopied

On a cremated funeral bed.

I still wonder where you’ve gone;

Wistfully wandering a way’s away

From the world they never let you see.
