The life everlasting
Though trial and hardship make me woe
I am more than this suffering alone
What gives me strength my mind cannot know
Its through these days that my soul grows
The cold is brutal and the nights are dark
When I feel Im fading, Im reminded of this lark
The cosmic joke that is ever present
This structure of ego that is evanescent
Without a rival, I am at ease
Through just survival life is appeased
What more can I wish for than this challenge of illusion
How real it can seem to be caught in confusion
Grappling with ideations, and forfeiting creations
At last my surrender comes to all situations
To muster this courage, be quiet and unstirring
Cessate not to the oppulence alluring
Look not at the past but into this time
this now, this moment, this heart, this mind
All the hows cannot equate to the whys
all is a reminder of laughter and cries
Thoughts and feelings of pity and self doubt
amount to a soul simply blown about
Perhaps one day it will all come out
Dripping down the page without a sound
