Life is a fairytale

I want to live among the pages of a book.

My anger from the every day world placed on a blank page

The eyes of my readers opened to a part of themselves

Locked away in the frightened parts of their brain

Is the fairytale everyone dreams

The dragons aren’t always defeated

Every prince won’t save the day

Fairy Godmothers do not have magic wands

Guitars replaced with noble steeds

Everyone has the power to have a happily ever after

They might just have a darker path

I want to be the one that reveals

the magic to my readers,

of their own once upon a time.

I wrote this because I have the personal belief that everyone's life is a fairytale. I am hoping to attend school at Columbia College in Chicago in order to pursue a degree in Creative Writing with a Fiction focus so I can eventually bring my work to others who are in need of realizing their own fairytale , and helping choose what books are published in the future as an editor in a publishing company.
