The Life of a Fat Asian Kid By Kenny Dao
The Life of a Fat Asian Kid starts out simple
Be a kid, live life, and DON't pop that pimple
learn two languages to talk to family and friends
but only the lord know how this tale should end
while going to school, you realize there are troubles ahead
some troubles are so bad they make you wish you were dead
but when I lay in my bed, I want to cry out
because no one else knows what my life is about.
they say mean things like "Yo, Sumo!" or "Chink"
having no idea thats already how I think
it blows my mind to such an extent
that calling me a sumo is a complement
its not at school where the bullying stops
at home, it starts with my mom and pops
they say mean things to encourage me to lose weight
but they have no idea the monsters & demons they create
I avoid contact with my family because they treat me the same
even if I win the lottery they'll still think I am lame
but i love all of them to death even the way they treat me
I put up my porcelain smile so they cannot see
that behind that smile is someone who is possessed
by the monsters & demons that run around inside my chest
Now, I am not saying that I am depressed
it just feels like my soul is being compressed
into a shape that everyone wants me to fit
Don't tell me to Shut up and don't tell me to sit.
I live my life to make others smile
in my mind, that's like walking a mile
from time to time my mind shuts down
and it feels like my life is starting to drown
but bringing someone else happiness is my therapy
So, My porcelain mask sticks and there it will be.
