Life Goes On...

Waking up late with

No annoying alarm buzzing off,

Looking out the wide window,

Seeing the beautiful scene outside,

With the sun rising and shining its light,

I think about the days that have passed,

Which become treasurable memories,

And the future of what there is to come,

Teasing my brother and joking with him,

Enjoying and appreciating the school days off,

By spending time with my family,

Giving them my love and

Letting them know how much they mean to me,

Going for an evening walk,

To feel relaxed and peaceful,

As the whispering wind blows back my long black hair,

The multi-colored leaves rustle and crackle,

As if the sea is roaring and crying thunderingly,

The day gets colder and darker,

It’s time to go back to my sweet home,

For it is calling me to safely return,

Eating dinner, talking with my family,

Watching movies until late at night,

With no worries or tension about

Getting up early the next morning,

And finally it’s time to sleep,

I am exhausted and tired from the busy day,

I snuggle into my black polka dotted night dress,

Jump onto my cozy and comfortable bed,

Slowly closing my dark brown eyes,

And looking forward to the next day,

And the next…because life goes on

Like a highway that never ever ends.
