Life on hold
You left long ago, yet I still ask god to bring you back. So that I can feel your arms wrapped around me, and see your face in the waking sunlight. I have put my life on hold hopping that one day you will realize that you can’t live your life without me in it... That’s not what love is. Love isn’t you... At least not any more. Love is knowing whom to choose, and for the first time since I met you I choose myself.
