The Life I Lost

That was the place where I went to laugh with friends. That was the place where I found my confidence. That was the place where I could sing my heart out.

That was the place where I was me.

That was the place where we first met. That was the place where you taught me my first minuet. That was the place where the rest of the world didn't exist.

That was the place where I was me.

That was the place where I would hide away. That was the place where we would play. That was the place where our friendship grew.

That was the place where I was me.

That was the place where you died. That was the place where I cried. That was the place where we buried you.

That is the place where you rest in peace.

That is the place where I am me.
