Life isn't so bad

One day I woke up in a life filled with dread

I weeped and I cried wanted to be dead

I forced myself to stand out of bed

opening the window to see a bright red

it was the sun shining so bright

bringing life to seeds planted in the ground

i realise how much life I've found

maybe there is hope for me now

a flicker of light that shines in my window

that gives me a sense of  pride

PROUD TO BE ALIVE,

PROUD TO BE WITH MY FAMILY,

PROUD TO BE ME,

because that's the only person I want to be.
