life as it is

Dark skin , don't care

buck teeth, oh dare

pretty little princess

naive and innocent

couldn't hurt a fly, even if she tried

big in the hips by the age of 12

tummy bloated, looking like it was about to pop

hitting the gym, to slim down

the boys finally came around

getting prettier by the second

until her best friend up and turned her down

she betrayed her and put her in a dark place

she thought she would never be found

she felt like a lost little girl

whos world had turned

she lost her best friend

the person , she trusted with her life

but, God always makes a way out of no way

her family helped lift her up

to the person she has become today

there is nothing but growth in her eyes

she came a long way to find self love

she will never let go of herself again............
