Life with Jim

Jim is, Jim was, and Jim will always be. My father’s grandfather. Three generations a taste for bourbon. Jim Beam in our blood line. The first scent of my life. My father on one knee patting my soft hair. A young nose tickled by robust vapors. A demon, an angel, a crutch, a lifestyle. “It’s only a problem if it becomes a solution.” Jim Beam? Not now and not ever again.
