A Life Less Bitter

Cakes and pies

Tea and chocolate

To avoid the tears I'll cry

I make my life sweet

When it turns bitter

But I still end up lost in emotional defeat

Then you come along And brighten my day

I stop crying

And wipe the tears away

You've said all the right things

Made me  think more of myself

And not  bound by these licorice strings

I look forward to the days our eyes meet

I will cry

But that's because you make my life less bitter and more sweet
