Life in a letter

Dear me,

You were born to parents who really wanted you,

You were loved and you were happy,

You have a good life,

Later you had a little brother,

You got to have fun and play games,

You grew up with a happy life,

You were so innocent and naive about the world,

Then you got another brother,

You were so happy seeing him,

Then you started school,

You were a nervous wreck,

Always quiet,

Always shy,

All you wanted was to go home,

You were like this in elementary,

You were like this in middle school,

But then messed up,

You hung around a bad crowd,

You didn’t choose good friends,

Lucky you saw that soon,

You changed your friends,

Then you started high school,

You were still nervous,

You were still shy,

You made a lot of friends,

You accidentally joined band,

But it was the best mistake of your life,

In your next year,

You join band again,

You made two amazing friends,

They helped you be less shy,

You became less nervous,

In your third year,

One of your friend comes and goes due to school,

The other is your clarinet brother,

You meet more and more good friends,

You have lots of fun,

Now it’s your last year,

You’re still in band,

You’re more involved in helping beginning band,

You join jazz,

You are still friends with a lot of amazing people,

You changed your views on life,

From wanting to drop out,

To getting accepted to college,

From being shy and nervous,

To being more outgoing,

You start to miss your school and friends,

Only 18 but you still feel old,

And you get reminded of it every time you see an old picture,

It reminds you of how you used to be,

But now you are different,

Although the world is terrible,

You try to make it seem less bad,
