Life in Letters

Dear Child,

Why did you do this to me? I have done nothing
but give you life and wealth and goodness
and yet you do this to me.

Can you not accept the dichotomy of existence?
That happiness, love and positivity
cannot exist without tragedy?

If you had seen black your whole life the darkest gray would be a blinding white
So then why, do you hate me, for making your life a little blacker
so your white can be a little brighter?

We crave the positive so intensely, but abhor the negative.
We push others down to raise ourselves up
And when you want, want, want without putting in the work or effort
You don't understand where the anger comes from
You don't understand that each comfrot represents traded time from a limited life

How can I be angered by you
When you only want what we all want?
