A Life to Live ... with Anime

Standing still while the world goes 'round

Different, yet similar, nothing new to be found.

All I hear are snickers and laughs,

Enough to send me running and hurting my calves.

But all this while, beyond this grey and blue,

Lies a hope ordained in a colorful hue.

A golden doorway welcomes me in,

To a world of anime, that I've never been in.

It made me laugh. It made me cry.

I made me question things with "Why?"

Everyday I'd see things anew,

And suddenly my whole world changed view.

I now look back to that day

And see that my life wasn't so cliche.

So, I thank you anime,

You've certainly made my day!
