Life is Love

The poets have written for a thousand years,

The painters have created for a hundred more,

But none could create a piece of art

To show love for all it is.

What is it about this idea- love,

That is so vast an unattainable?

The greatest thinkers could not describe;

But the humblest of hearts still feel it.

We will always try to portray it,

Yet fall short of all it truly is.

Love fits not in an image, not in a word.

Love fits in my heart, 'tho I don't understand it.

For me to keep.

For me to give.

It has no bounds.

It is not fake.

It has no filter.

I have love

Love is who I am.

And love will be true.
